I have been a BIPA executive member for over 6 years, 4 years as an elected executive member and subsequently 2 years as General secretary. In my professional role: I work as Group Associate Medical Director and consultant psychiatrist for Elysium Healthcare. I hold responsibility for managing the medical workforce of 113 doctors in the organisation. I am also the Caldicott guardian for the organisation.Previously I have worked as regional clinical director and lead consultant in the independent sector and NHS. I trained in London and Nottinghamshire. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and have a Masters in Mental Health Law (LL.M).
