Dr Harinder Bains is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director with Elysium Healthcare. He has been a member of BIPA executive team for over 8 years and during this time has served as general secretary and vice president. He has held a range of senior clinical and leadership roles across both the NHS and independent sector. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has served, and continues to serve, as a co-opted member of the Faculty of Intellectual Disability Psychiatry. He has authored a number of publications and contributed to academic texts, particularly in the field of forensic neurodevelopmental services. He has a masters in Mental Health law.
