Dr Prateek Varshney is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident Doctor (ST6) at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), London. He graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and completed his postgraduate training in Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. He also holds a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations, India.

Prateek has further qualifications in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDip, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru) and Clinical Education (PGCert, King’s College London). He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, and has completed a Medical Education Fellowship with the Department of Undergraduate Psychiatry at SLaM.

A keen academic and researcher, he has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and contributed to several book chapters. His professional interests include transcultural psychiatry, psychotherapy, infant mental health, and medical education. Outside of work, he enjoys writing poetry and practising calligraphy.
