Dr Shikha Chauhan
I am an International Medical Graduate from B. J. Medical College, India, passionate about learning and building a career in Psychiatry. My journey in BIPA began in 2024, when I attended the Annual Conference as a clinical attaché. It has been a privilege to become an Executive Committee Member, contributing to various BIPA events and organizing Annual Conferences.
I have a strong interest in unifying technology and innovation to contribute towards strengthening support and helping doctors feel welcomed and valued within our community. I am passionate about encouraging professional and research development, while also exploring innovative ways to connect psychiatry with art and culture. I believe that art has an important role in promoting wellbeing and enriching our understanding of mental health.
Guided by curiosity and compassion, I find joy in capturing the essence of life through words, often reflecting my thoughts in prose and poetry. I also enjoy travelling and drawing, finding inspiration in the beauty of diverse experiences. I believe that life is a delicate harmony of science, art and soul- a philosophy that deeply shapes our journeys. Psychiatry, for me, is where science meets the soul, a space where empathy heals, stories inspire, and every mind becomes a masterpiece of its own.
