Updates: Indian Global Psychiatric Initiative
British Indian Psychiatric Association (BIPA) is an organisation of Psychiatrists in United Kingdom with ancestral links to India although its membership is not exclusive to them. BIPA maintain strong links with all major psychiatric organisations in UK , India and with Royal College of Psychiatrists. The Chair and Executive committee welcome all the members and other psychiatrists in UK who subscribe to our aims and objectives. We are committed to working together to improve the mental health of service users in UK and India.
We welcome any suggestions, comments and constructive criticisms to improve our performance and services.
British: BIPA is committed to the NHS and to the core value of excellent patient care. Delivering this in the Darzi world needs more clinical leaders. BIPA is in a prime position to do so.
Indian: BIPA has always been proud of its Indian roots. We are aware that our members want to collaborate in projects based in India - whether they are NGOs providing clinical care or with Universities in improving psychiatric education. BIPA will be playing a key role in facilitating these.
Psychiatric: BIPA is committed to continue to further excellence in psychiatric practice with its quality CPD events, mentorship and support for trainees.
Association: BIPA family is a large family bound by its core values. BIPA is committed to retain these values while working closely with allied associations like the Royal College of Psychiatrists and our sister associations based across the world.
